| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter frontal view, with the paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder and visible plate armour beneath. The Imperial effigy is depicted in the characteristic provincial style of the Conventus of Alabanda, with the laurel wreath rendered in low relief. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his full titulature, disposed around the bust in the field. |

| Reverse description | A tetrastyle temple with four columns surmounted by a rounded (arched) pediment, depicted in frontal elevation in the provincial civic coinage tradition. Within the intercolumniation, Zeus is enthroned to the left, holding a Nike in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left, consistent with the cult image of the principal deity of Antioch ad Maeandrum. The reverse legend naming the Antiochian civic community is disposed around the temple type. |
