The horses are rendered in lively motion, and a charioteer figure appears at the reins. A ground line separates the main type from the lower field, where part of the reverse legend appears. The surrounding Greek inscription, divided between the upper and lower fields, names the local archon Stratonikos and identifies the issuing city of Aphrodisias. |
