Year 22 of Caracalla's reign in Egypt — ΛΚΒ on the reverse — places this coin precisely in 213–214 AD, a moment when Caracalla was consolidating power following his murder of Geta in late 211. The Alexandrian mint maintained an extraordinarily granular dating system through regnal years, making Egyptian bronzes among the most precisely datable provincials in the entire Roman series.
