This reverse type celebrates the homonoia, or civic concord, between the cities of Laodicea ad Lycum and Smyrna, with the legend recording the 88th (ΤΟ ΠΗ) such alliance issue. The figures are rendered in the standard provincial iconographic tradition, enclosed within a dotted border. |
