| Descripción del reverso | Homonoia (concord) type depicting Zeus Laodiceus standing to the right, holding an eagle in his outstretched hand and a long sceptre, facing Nemesis standing to the left who plucks her chiton at the breast and holds a bridle or cubit-rule in her other hand. This reverse type celebrates the homonoia, or civic concord, between the cities of Laodicea ad Lycum and Smyrna, with the legend recording the 88th (ΤΟ ΠΗ) such alliance issue. The figures are rendered in the standard provincial iconographic tradition, enclosed within a dotted border. |
