This issue belongs to Year 13 of Antoninus Pius's reign — a period of remarkable administrative stability in Egypt, where the prefect's office maintained tight control over the provincial bronze coinage. Alexandria's mint operated under direct imperial oversight, and the dating by regnal year on Egyptian bronzes provides an unusually precise chronological anchor compared to most provincial issues. The L ΤΡΙϹΚΑΙ notation, marking year 13, places production firmly within a decade when the province saw neither flood failure nor serious fiscal disruption — which may partly explain why Alexandrian bronzes of this period survive in comparatively better condition than those from more turbulent reigns.
