Alexandria's mint operated under direct imperial oversight, and the dating by regnal year on Egyptian bronzes provides an unusually precise chronological anchor compared to most provincial issues. The L ΤΡΙϹΚΑΙ notation, marking year 13, places production firmly within a decade when the province saw neither flood failure nor serious fiscal disruption — which may partly explain why Alexandrian bronzes of this period survive in comparatively better condition than those from more turbulent reigns.
