| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate draped bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing left, wearing the paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with the laureate wreath clearly distinguishing the imperial portrait. The surrounding legend in Greek characters identifies the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily worn, as is common for high-denomination Alexandrian bronzes of this period. |
