| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, the emperor portrayed with characteristic beard and wreath of laurel leaves. The effigy displays the conventional Antonine portrait type used on Alexandrian provincial coinage. A circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature. The coin exhibits a dark green patina consistent with Egyptian bronze issues of the mid-second century AD. |
