This homonoia (concordia) type celebrates the formal alliance between Laodicea ad Lycum and Ephesus, with the reverse legend recording the civic association and the year ΠΗ (88) of the local Sullan era. The scene is rendered with careful attention to the iconographic specificity of both deities, reflecting the prestige of this inter-city commemorative issue. |
