Reverse description The goddess Artemis advances to the right in a dynamic hunting pose, her right hand reaching back over her shoulder to draw an arrow from the quiver slung across her back, while her left hand extends forward holding the bow. She is depicted in short hunting dress (chiton), as befitting her role as divine huntress. At her feet, a hound runs to the right, reinforcing the thematic context of the chase. The divided civic legend of the Mytileneans, naming the strategos Valerius Aristomachos, is arranged in the fields around the figure.
