The effigy displays the imperial paludamentum over the cuirass, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated around the head. The composition reflects a characteristic civic religious scene associated with the cults of Tralles in Lydia. A Greek inscription fills the exergual and peripheral field, recording the name of the local grammateus responsible for the issue. |
