| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, rendered in three-quarter view seen from the rear, a presentation typical of mid-third century provincial coinage. The effigy displays the imperial paludamentum over the cuirass, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated around the head. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is slightly irregular and the surfaces show characteristic patination of struck bronze from the Lydian mint of Tralles. |

| Opschrift voorzijde | ΑΥΤ Κ ΠΟ ΛΙΚΙΝΝΙΟϹ ΒΑΛΕΡΙΑΝΟϹ (Translation: Emperor Caesar Publius Licinius Valerianus) |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two standing divine figures face one another across the field: at right, Artemis stands in profile facing left, holding a long sceptre; at left, Demeter stands facing right, holding ears of grain and a poppy in one hand and a long sceptre in the other, extending her offerings over a lighted altar placed between the two deities. The composition reflects a characteristic civic religious scene associated with the cults of Tralles in Lydia. A Greek inscription fills the exergual and peripheral field, recording the name of the local grammateus responsible for the issue. |
