| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic provincial style. The effigy displays a radiate laurel wreath and visible paludamentum over the cuirass, with detail rendered in the robust local die-cutting tradition of the Lydian mint at Nysa. A square test hole is present in the lower left field, indicative of post-minting authenticity testing. The encircling Greek legend runs clockwise around the portrait within a beaded border. |

| Reverse description | Athena standing left in a dignified, classical pose, clad in a crested Corinthian helmet and a long belted chiton. Her right hand rests upon a large round shield set on the ground at her side, while her left hand holds an upright spear. The figure is rendered in the provincial Greek tradition, with the encircling legend naming the local magistrate Claudius Pollio and the city of the Nysaeans distributed across the field. The reverse type reflects the civic pride of Nysa in its association with the goddess of wisdom and warfare. |
