| 表面の説明 | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing right, portrayed with the bust seen from the rear in the three-quarter perspective typical of later Roman provincial coinage. The imperial effigy displays a radiate or laurel wreath crown, segmented body armour with visible pauldron, and a draped paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend reads in the outer field, naming the emperor by his full titulature. The portrait is rendered in the robust, slightly stylised manner characteristic of the Ephesian civic mint during the mid-third century AD. |

| 裏面の説明 | The iconic cult statue of Artemis Ephesia stands facing, rendered in the rigid, hieratic style of the famous chryselephantine idol housed in the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus. The goddess wears a tall kalathos (polos) upon her head and her body is enveloped in a tight sheath adorned with multiple rows of ovoid pendants, traditionally interpreted as eggs, breasts, or bull scrotums, symbolising fertility and abundance. Lateral supports, shown as pillars or herms, flank the figure between two stags that stand at her sides, alluding to her role as Mistress of Animals (Potnia Theron). In the upper left field a star appears, and in the upper right field a crescent moon, celestial attributes reinforcing Artemis's lunar and cosmic associations. The reverse legend ΑΡΤΕΜΙϹ ΕΦΕϹΙΑ encircles the design. |
