The obverse legend, disposed around the bust, reads Α Κ Μ ΑΥΡ ϹΕ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature in Greek. The portrait reflects the official Severan iconography adapted for civic bronze coinage of Phocaea. |
