Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Claudius facing left, with draped shoulders, set within a dotted border. Two ears of grain appear in the field before the bust, referencing imperial abundance. The encircling Greek legend reads ΤΙ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟΣ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΟΣ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The portrait is rendered in the provincially adapted Julio-Claudian style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. A circular perforation is visible in the right field, consistent with later re-use of the piece as a pendant.
