The encircling Greek legend reads ΤΙ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟΣ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΟΣ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The portrait is rendered in the provincially adapted Julio-Claudian style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. A circular perforation is visible in the right field, consistent with later re-use of the piece as a pendant. |
