Reverse description Tyche, the personification of Fortune and civic prosperity, is depicted standing to the left in the centre of the field, rendered in the round in provincial style. She holds a ship's rudder in her right hand, resting it on the ground beside her, and cradles a cornucopia overflowing with fruits in her left arm, emblematic of abundance and good fortune. A Greek legend in two lines surrounds the figure, naming the grammateus Marcus Aurelius Aphrodisios as civic magistrate and identifying the issuing city of Tralles. The reverse legend reads ΕΠΙ ΓΡ Μ ΑΥΡ ΑΦΡΟΔΕΙϹΙΟΥ / ΤΡΑΛΛΙΑΝΩΝ, a formulaic magistrate attribution common to Lydian civic bronzes of the Valeriano-Gallienic period. The coin displays the typical broad, slightly convex flan and worn die workmanship characteristic of Trallian civic issues.
