| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Trajan facing right, with finely rendered hair beneath the laurel wreath and a draped shoulder visible at the bust truncation. The portrait is modeled in the naturalistic Roman imperial style typical of provincial bronze coinage from Asia Minor. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy in the field, running along the inner border of the coin. |

| Reverse description | Tetrastyle temple depicted in elevation, with four columns framing a cult statue of Apollo Didymeus standing to the right within the intercolumniation. A tripod, the sacred attribute of Apollo, is placed to the right of the temple exterior. The architectural rendering reflects the famous Didymaion sanctuary near Miletus, one of the largest temples of the ancient world. The reverse legend naming the Milesians and their magistrate Flavius Minnius Philometor runs around the periphery of the field. |
