| Obverse description | Draped bust of Otacilia Severa, wife of Philip I, facing right, her hair elaborately waved and dressed in a stephane or diadem, with locks drawn back and secured at the nape. The effigy is rendered in the typical provincial style of mid-third-century Ionian workshops, with visible drapery folds over the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend identifies the empress by her imperial name. A dotted border frames the design. |

| Reverse description | Cybele, the Phrygian mother goddess, enthroned and facing left upon a high-backed throne, her right hand extending a patera and her left arm resting upon a tympanum (frame drum) set beside her. A lion is placed flanking each side of the throne, serving as her sacred attendants and reinforcing her identity as Mater Magna. The composition is characteristic of Anatolian provincial coinage honouring local and regional cults. The multi-line Greek legend in the field names the presiding strategos Aurelius Theon and the civic authority of Metropolis. |
