The Latin legend encircles the portrait, reading clockwise on the more common variety and counterclockwise on the extremely rare variant. The effigy displays the characteristic short-bearded portrait of Otho as known from his brief reign in AD 69. The flan is irregular, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the period. |

| 裏面の説明 | Five-line Greek inscription contained within a dotted border and enclosed by a laurel wreath composed of eight leaves arranged symmetrically around the circumference. The wreath is tied at the base and the leaves are rendered in bold relief with clear individual leaflet detailing visible on the flan. The inscription names the legate Gaius Licinius Mucianus as authority, identifies the city of Antioch, and records the civic year ΖΙΡ (year 117 of the Caesarean era, corresponding to AD 69). Dot separators divide the text elements within the legend field. |
