| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled at the nape in the characteristic Antonine style. The effigy is rendered in low relief typical of provincial bronze coinage, with drapery folds visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend names the empress as Augusta. The phi in the legend is rendered in an unusual form resembling a dotted vertical stroke (·I·), a local die-engraver's peculiarity noted in Thyatiran coinage of this period. |

The goddess is shown in a dynamic pose characteristic of the Artemis Ephesia hunting type widely employed on civic bronzes of Lydian cities. The encircling Greek legend, divided around the type, records the name of the local magistrate (strategos) responsible for the issue and the ethnic of the city of Thyatira. |
