| Description du revers | Dikaiosyne, the personification of Justice, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left, draped in a long chiton and himation. In her right hand she holds a set of scales, and in her left arm she bears a cornucopia, symbolising abundance and equity. The regnal date legend L Β appears to the left of the figure, indicating the second year of Hadrian's reign in the Alexandrian dating system. The reverse field is otherwise plain, and the style is characteristic of Alexandrian civic coinage of the early second century CE. |
