| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic short beard and carefully rendered hair beneath the laurel wreath. A Greek legend encircles the portrait, running along the rim of the flan. The die work reflects the typical Alexandrian provincial style of the early Hadrianic period, with moderately high relief. The coin exhibits a green patina consistent with its Egyptian provenance. |

| Reverse description | Dikaiosyne, the personification of Justice, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left, draped in a long chiton and himation. In her right hand she holds a set of scales, and in her left arm she bears a cornucopia, symbolising abundance and equity. The regnal date legend L Β appears to the left of the figure, indicating the second year of Hadrian's reign in the Alexandrian dating system. The reverse field is otherwise plain, and the style is characteristic of Alexandrian civic coinage of the early second century CE. |
