| Beschrijving keerzijde | The three Charites (Graces) depicted standing frontally in a close group at the center of the field, rendered as draped female figures with arms entwined in the conventional grouping associated with this divine triad. The figures stand on a ground line, their drapery rendered in broad, flowing folds typical of provincial die-cutting of the Severan and post-Severan periods. The encircling Greek legend, distributed around the periphery of the field, identifies the issuing magistrate and the civic authority. The composition closely follows the canonical iconography of the Three Graces as employed on civic bronzes of Ionian cities under the Roman Empire. |
