The surface shows typical green and red patination consistent with long burial, with the portrait relief partially worn but the drapery folds and laurel wreath still discernible. |

The architectural rendering reflects the local cult iconography of Metropolis in Ionia. The peripheral Greek legend, divided around the type, identifies the issuing magistrate and the civic community. The overall composition is typical of the civic bronze coinage struck under local strategoi during the reign of Gallienus. |
