| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, rendered in three-quarter rear view, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy displays characteristic mid-third-century provincial die-cutting style. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The surface shows typical green and red patination consistent with long burial, with the portrait relief partially worn but the drapery folds and laurel wreath still discernible. |

| Reverse description | Tetrastyle temple with arcuated (arched) lintel set upon a stepped podium, depicted in frontal elevation; within the intercolumniation stands a warrior figure facing left, holding a spear in the right hand and a shield in the left. The architectural rendering reflects the local cult iconography of Metropolis in Ionia. The peripheral Greek legend, divided around the type, identifies the issuing magistrate and the civic community. The overall composition is typical of the civic bronze coinage struck under local strategoi during the reign of Gallienus. |
