The imperial effigy is depicted in the characteristic provincial style of the Lydian mint at Tralles, with bold, slightly stylised facial features. A beaded border encircles the design, and the Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. |

The reverse legend, divided around the field, names the local grammateus responsible for the issue. |
