Reverse description An eagle stands atop a garlanded altar, oriented to the left with head turned right, holding a wreath in its beak. Flanking the central eagle on either side are two legionary aquilae (military standards), creating a symmetrical heraldic composition. This reverse type is characteristic of civic bronzes from Creteia-Flaviopolis and alludes to Roman imperial and military iconography. The reverse legend is disposed around the field, identifying the issuing civic authority.
