The devices are rendered within the field of the flan, with the encircling Greek legend ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ ΝΕΟΚΟΡ(ΩΝ) identifying the issuing city and proclaiming its honorific title of neokoros, or temple-warden. A dotted border frames the design along the inner edge of the flan. The reverse exhibits the typical characteristics of Mysian provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
