Flanking the central figure are two heraldic animals: an eagle standing to the left with head turned right, holding a wreath in its beak, positioned at the left field, and a lion standing to the left occupying the right field. The encircling Latin legend reads PROVINCIA DACIA, with the dating formula AN II (Anno II) indicating the second year of the Dacian provincial era corresponding to 247–248 AD. |
