| 背面描述 | Turreted Tyche, the personification of the city's fortune, seated to the right upon a throne, holding a long sceptre in her left hand and a figure of Nike (Victory) in her extended right hand. Her foot rests upon a swimming river-god below, symbolising the city's relationship with local waterways. The reverse type is a common civic device for Nicaean bronze coinage of the Antonine period. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city. |
