The reverse legend ΠΕΛΤΗΝΩΝ ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ in Greek characters identifies the issuing city of Peltae and invokes a claimed Macedonian ethnic heritage, a common honorific designation among Phrygian cities during the Imperial period.
