To the lower left, an eagle stands facing right, and to the lower right, a lion stands facing left — emblems drawn from the emblems of Legio XIII Gemina and Legio V Macedonica, the two legions garrisoned in Dacia. The circumferential legend PROVINCIA DACIA with the date AN VIII (Year 8 of the Dacian provincial era) encircles the field within a beaded border. |
