The reverse legend, distributed around the field, records the colonial and metropolitan status of Carrhae within Mesopotamia, with the final letter Λ remaining of uncertain interpretation. The composition reflects standard iconographic conventions of Mesopotamian provincial coinage under the Severan dynasty. |
