Facing her, Asclepius stands to the left, his body draped in a himation, leaning upon his serpent-entwined staff (caduceus). The two deities face one another in a composition emphasizing the healing cult prominent in the Pergamene conventus. The reverse legend, arranged in the field and around the periphery, names the local magistrate and the city of Germe. |
