| Reverse description | Distyle temple facade enclosing a cult statue of Artemis standing on a base and advancing to the right, holding a torch in each raised hand. The temple is flanked on either side by a tree or vegetal element. The type reflects the local veneration of Artemis at Pagae, rendered in the provincial Greek bronze-casting tradition. The reverse legend naming the Pagaeans runs around the design. |

| Additional information |
Pagae was a minor Megarid port town whose civic coinage output was sparse even by the standards of small Greek poleis under Roman administration. The reference number here places this among a handful of attributed types for the city — the ethnic legend itself appears in variant spellings across surviving examples, which has complicated die studies and attribution since the 19th century.
