| 裏面の説明 | Winged Nemesis standing facing right, her right hand raised to pluck or draw back the neckline of her chiton in the characteristic apotropaic gesture, while her left hand holds a bridle or cubit-rule, emblems of retribution and measure. The figure is rendered in full-length draped form with wings spread behind her shoulders, consistent with the Smyrnaean iconographic tradition for Nemesis during the reign of Commodus. The magistrate's name legend ϹΤΡ ϹΤΡΑΤΟΝΕ(Ι)ΚΙΑΝΟΥ is inscribed in the field, with the ethnic ϹΜΥΡΝΑΙ(ΩΝ) completing the legend around the periphery. |
