| Opis rewersu | Standing figure of Demeter (or possibly Persephone) depicted facing left, rendered in the classical provincial style. The goddess holds in her extended hand an uncertain object, possibly a patera or ears of grain, and carries a long torch in her other hand — attributes typical of chthonic and agrarian iconography on Bithynian civic bronzes. The reverse legend, partially preserved around the periphery, references the mint city of Nicomedia. The overall execution reflects the provincial workshop tradition of Bithynia under the Antonine dynasty. |
