| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Commodus facing right, with a partial Greek imperial titulature legend running around the periphery. The portrait displays the characteristic curly hair and beard associated with Commodus, executed in the provincial style of Bithynian civic coinage. The surrounding legend is partially legible, reading ]Μ(?) ΑΥ ΚΟ[ — a fragmentary rendering of the standard Imperial titulature (Μάρκος Αὐρήλιος Κόμμοδος). The flan is irregular and the surface heavily worn, with significant corrosion obscuring much of the fine detail. |

| Reverse description | Standing figure of Demeter (or possibly Persephone) depicted facing left, rendered in the classical provincial style. The goddess holds in her extended hand an uncertain object, possibly a patera or ears of grain, and carries a long torch in her other hand — attributes typical of chthonic and agrarian iconography on Bithynian civic bronzes. The reverse legend, partially preserved around the periphery, references the mint city of Nicomedia. The overall execution reflects the provincial workshop tradition of Bithynia under the Antonine dynasty. |
