| 裏面の説明 | Plain field bearing a multi-line inscription in Greek across the reverse, recording the name and titles of the proconsul Publius Pasidienus Firmus in his second term as patron of the metropolis of the Nicomedians. The legend fills the entire reverse field and concludes with the abbreviated civic ethnic ΝΙΚΟΜΗ accompanied by a civic monogram. The reverse is purely epigraphic with no figurative devices, a common convention for civic honorific bronze issues of Bithynia under the early Principate. |
