| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in profile with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy is executed in the typical provincial hammered style of Achaean coinage, with the laureate wreath rendered in low relief. A partially legible Latin legend runs around the obverse field, reading IMP CAES TRA[---], identifying the emperor as Imperator Caesar Traianus Hadrianus. The flan is irregular and slightly worn, consistent with circulation coinage of this colonial mint. |

| Reverse description | Isthmus personified as a youthful nude male figure standing facing with head turned to the right, holding a rudder in each outstretched hand, symbolizing the strategic maritime position of Corinth between the Saronic and Corinthian gulfs. The allegorical type is characteristic of colonial Corinthian bronze coinage under Hadrian, emphasizing the city's identity as guardian of the Isthmus. The reverse field is worn and the encircling legend is largely illegible. The figure stands in a frontal pose with both arms extended laterally, each hand grasping a steering oar as attributes of Isthmus. |
