At her feet, a hound runs to the right, accompanying the goddess in the hunt. The composition reflects the standard Artemis Huntress type widely employed on provincial bronzes of western Asia Minor. A Greek legend in the field and periphery records the homonoia (concord) alliance between the cities of Thyatira and Smyrna. |
