The reverse legend ΛΑΔΙΚΕΩΝ ΝΕΩΚΟΡ (of the Laodiceans, neocorate) is distributed around the field, attesting to the city's prestigious title of neocorate. The design is framed by a beaded border, characteristic of Phrygian civic bronzes of the mid-third century. |
