| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus Thrax facing right, depicted from the rear in the three-quarter back view typical of provincial bronze coinage of this period. The portrait conveys the emperor's characteristic powerful physiognomy, with closely cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath and the folds of the paludamentum visible over the cuirass. The encircling Greek legend runs along the rim of the flan. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial mint production. |

The style is consistent with the Bithynian provincial workshop output of the Severan and post-Severan era. |
