| 背面描述 | Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, depicted standing left in long chiton and himation, holding a bundle of corn ears in her raised right hand and a long transverse sceptre in her left. The goddess is rendered in the classical provincial style typical of Mysian civic coinage. A Greek civic legend encircles the reverse field, referencing the strategos and the twice-neocorate status of Cyzicus. |

Cyzicus held the title of neokoros — temple warden of the imperial cult — twice over by this period, the "Β ΝΕΟΚΟ" designation marking that second grant and the civic pride attached to it. The city leveraged these honors aggressively in its coinage, partly to maintain standing against rival Bithynian cities competing for Roman favor during a reign when Gallienus was too consumed by usurpers and barbarian incursions to pay much administrative attention to the eastern provinces.
