| 正面描述 | Laureate, cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of Emperor Commodus, with short to medium-length beard, facing right and viewed from the rear. The imperial effigy presents a three-quarter rear perspective, a relatively uncommon bust type in provincial coinage. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Latin characters. |

Alexandria Troas was a Roman colony — Colonia Alexandria Augusta — founded by Antigonus and later refounded under Augustus, which gave it the unusual right to mint bronze coinage using Latin legends at a time when most eastern provincial mints used Greek. The COL AVG TROA legend reflects that colonial status directly. Commodus's issues from this mint cluster in the early 180s, immediately following his accession after Marcus Aurelius died in March 180.
