| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate head of the emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in typical Julio-Claudian portraiture with naturalistic facial features and a wreath of laurel leaves encircling the head. The Greek legend surrounds the portrait along the coin's periphery, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of provincially struck bronze coinage of this period. The portrait is well-centred with clear relief details visible in the facial contours and laurel wreath. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Confronted busts of Antonia Minor and Nero Drusus (Drusus the Elder): the veiled and draped bust of Antonia faces left on the left side of the field, while the bare-headed bust of Nero Drusus faces right on the right side, the two portraits nearly touching at the centre of the flan. The legend is divided between the upper and lower fields, with ΔΡΟΥ ΚΛΑΥ ΓΕΡ(Μ) arching above and ΑΝΤΩΝΙΑ inscribed below the busts. This reverse type honours the parents of Claudius, reflecting dynastic piety characteristic of early Claudian provincial coinage. The die work is competent for a local Cretan mint, with both portraits rendered with reasonable individuality. |
