The effigy fills the field boldly, with the laureate wreath clearly defined across the forehead. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust, reading partially along the upper and right periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the robust, slightly idealized treatment typical of provincial bronze coinage struck in Asia Minor under the Severan dynasty. |

The overall composition is characteristic of civic bronze issues from the Conventus of Philomelium in Phrygia during the Severan period. |
